The mission of the Evesham Township Municipal Alliance is to promote the health and well being of individuals and families in Evesham Township by reducing the use of illicit substances and collaborating with the community to facilitate environmental change.
The Evesham Township Municipal Alliance was formed to intentionally focus on the use of alcohol among youth in Evesham Township. It has now expanded to include the use of marijuana and prescription drugs. The Alliance funds many programs, mostly in schools to help with successful prevention education programs such as L.E.A.D. ,Red Ribbon Week, Life Skills. and Project Graduation.
A successful Alliance needs members from the community including youth, who will provide input into problem solving and addressing local conditions.
The Alliance membership consists of members from 12 sectors of the community, including: Local Government, Schools, Healthcare, Law Enforcement, Business, Faith Based Groups, Youth, Parents /Seniors, Youth Serving Organizations, Media, Civic/Volunteer Groups and Others involved in Prevention.
Municipal Alliances are funded through Burlington County grant awards.
